Twenty, dreaming

hit counter

“Death ends a life, not a relationship.”

—   Mitch Albom, Tuesdays With Morrie (via observando)

I miss a lot these days

I let things slip through the cracks

But better to let it flow like water than

To receive inescapable sand.

All anybody can do, in response to their human conditon is

To look after themselves

And of course you still keep around those who mean

*the most* to you, you do that throughout everything because you

fucking need them and maybe they don’t realise that, maybe they do

but it’s such comfort, their words like a warm blanket.

Although long-lasting illnesses like cancer may be

A solitary affair at the best of time, you always know

You can reach out, a simple phone/Skype/Facebook

And be solaced in the warmth of others, even in the

Darkest night.

My girlfriend sends cards

I read her heart with such glee

She always finds me.

fuck this 2 week cough

rib-cagėd in hurt

If you were out in the cold

Sitting upon the icy throne

Would you tell yourself

It’ll all be alright in the end

Or freeze in the moment

A cold man with a colder heart

Left in the wilderness

All lost

For a brief morning?

Do the tears you shed

Trickle down your entire body

As the bleak spring lingers

Waiting for the summer thaw

Of redemption?
